Leading computer processor manufacturer, Asus, has launched 7 new notebooks based on Intel’s new Centrino2 mobile platform. The notebooks use Intel’s 45nm Core2 Duo (Penryn) processors, with the new mobile Intel 45 Express chipset that supports DX10 and HD playback and with 802.11n WiFi support for data transfer rates up to 450mbps. The new Centrino2 Notebooks have improved performance and better energy efficiency together with improved WiFi and security. These include two gaming models (the newly designed the G50V), two multimedia models (the M50Vm and the M70Vm), two small form factor models (the U6V and the F6V) and the F8Va.
