Panasonic’s Lumix DMC-G1 Out Earlier than Expected

Panasonics Lumix DMC G1 Out Earlier than Expected

We are not sure what Panasonic is trying to pull but the Lumix DMC-G1 is already out. Contrary to its press release, announcing that it will only be released in mid-November, Panny’s online store has already started shipping G1 to some buyers. The price is $799.95 as expected. If you have been dying to have this camera, Panasonic just ended your misery and you can now grab it through their online store.

Features include:

A flip-out, 3-inch, high resolution (1.44 million pixels!) Live viewfinder and a 12.1 megapixel Live MOS Sensor. That allows this cam to weigh in at 385-grams (0.85-pounds) and just 20-mm thick. Rounding out the specs are optical image stabilization (MEGA OIS), intelligent ISO, AF tracking, face detection, HDMI output, and intelligent scene selector with Venus Engine HD image processing and a Supersonic Wave Filter dust reduction system.

Nintendo DSi Coming in Summer 2009

Nintendo DSi Coming in Summer 2009

While Japan gets their hands on the DSi today, we have to wait until Summer 2009 to get ours. Nintendo’s newest revamp of the DS is set to arrive on our shores no earlier than next summer. It has been said, however, that Nintendo already shipped 200,000 units of the DSi from Japan for its release. The DSi will retail in Japan for about $192. No word as of yet on how much it will cost here in the west when it hits our shelves. Excited? You could always import.
